PE Films
Blown films are made in a blown extrusion process, obtaining a vertical film bubble which is formed with a ring die. This film can be used as tubular film, half tubular film or flat films for continued processing.
The production process is applied for manufacturing polyethylene films for applications in food packaging, hygiene applications, like diapers as well as barrier films or synthetic paper.

food approval

2.0 – 5.0

Remarks:
Absorbers are acting primarily as screener, i.e. filter out the harmful UV radiation depending on type and concentration of the absorber and film thickness. For this reason UV absorbers can only contribute to a limited UV light stability. Therefore in most cases UV light stabilisers must be applied if the films need also outdoor weathering resistance.

Provide long term UV-light stability for flexible freight containers etc. ; low pigment interaction;
food approval

0.5 – 5.0

Remarks:
The above grades are recommended for films requiring outdoor weathering resistance. The optimal dosing levels of the UV masterbatches depend on the weathering conditions (geographic region / period of time) as well as on the manufactured film formulation such as thickness, film structure, polymer grades etc.
Other applied film ingredients, halogenated flame retardants or various pigments may have a harmful influence on
the efficiency of the active substances. Additional environmental factors such us acidic rain, industrial pollution and contamination of the film with sulphur-containing chemicals or other reacting agents can impair the effectiveness of the light stabiliser.
